Mimulus types know what scares them. Whether it be a fear of heights, spider, failure, being alone, etc, Mimulus will help bring relief.
This remedy works well, I can tell you from experience.
One night I was at my computer at around midnight. The lights were off, and I was in my dressing gown. I felt something tickle my hand of a moment, and feeling nothing more, I dismissed. Half an hour later, I get up to go to to the bathroom, and caught a glance of myself in the mirror. On my should was this very large Huntsman. (If you want to see what one of these things look like, check out this link. Huntsman spider
Well, I screamed, threw off my gown and it was me versus the huntsman, who did not seem in the least bit phased, and came crawling after me. It met its end under a very heavy object. I didn't stop shaking until two days later I took Mimulus, and the fear subsided quickly. Once again, I can sit at my computer in the dark and not give it a second thought.
Mimulus helps put things into perspective. You see yourself relative to the scheme of things and know what can or cannot hurt you.
For Empaths:
Mimulus is the remedy for known fears. Unlike Aspen, which is the remedy for vague, unknown fears and anxiety, Mimulus helps us deal with fears such as spiders, heights, loneliness, claustrophobia, and so on.
Is it said that those who embrace their fears will overcome them. Remember, what you resist, persists, and what you look at disappears.
Some fears are so strong that we can't even begin to look at them. Just the very thought of them sends us into a panic mode. The greatest being things like losing your partner, job, home, etc, etc.
